patchtrack import

Read your own mail: Maildirs, directories of .eml files, and mbox files.

Paths come from the command line, or from [sources] in the config (which sync also reads first). Only what matters is kept: patches the authors sent or wrote, and replies in their threads. Headers are read first, so a big mailbox stays cheap; Maildirs are read incrementally by file time, and an unchanged mbox is skipped.

Local mail holds only what was sent to you: a reply that dropped you from Cc is not in it. A thread seen only locally says so (“as of …, from your mailbox only”).

patchtrack does not speak IMAP, so it never holds a mail password: sync the account to a Maildir with mbsync, offlineimap or getmail and name that. notmuch and lei keep Maildirs already.

usage: patchtrack import [-h] [-a AUTHOR] [paths ...]
